Let’s learn to protect our self-esteem. While we should always be open to feedback, we must filter out injury to self esteem by telling ourselves that we can make mistakes and still be good human beings. If an ED (not an Executive Director but an Esteem Destroyer.)is plonked right in the middle of our lives we can always exercise our choice and remove ourselves. We have to be eternally vigilant against EDs who masquerade as “husbands”, “wives”, “bosses”, “teachers” or even “friends”. Any price is worth paying to protect our self-esteem; because self-esteem is life itself!
But its also very important to introspect: am I an ED myself ?
