Ok, I have already talked about my aunt's failed marraige somewhere on this forum.
It has become an international custody case and is the first one of it's kind. This thread is with the idea of bringing this to the attention of my dear FHians (esp divorced mothers) about their rights, and to give them hope and courage.

Background
My Aunt married Mr. Fazal Rehman about 10 years ago. It was a love marraige (not that it matters). Mr. Rehman was from the USA and immeditately took her away with him to the US. They had a girl and a boy. The marraige did not go well, and after putting up with him and bearing with him for 6 years, she finally got a divorce. She had custody of the children and he was allowed to visit them. One day he came and said that he was gonna take them to the museum. He took them with him and kidnapped them and ran away to India. He is a now a criminal in the US.
That was almost 8 years ago. From that time, my aunt has been fighting to get her children back from India. He does not co-operate. About 4 years back, he tried to sneak into the US, but was caught at the airport, and is in jail for trying to illegaly enter the US. My aunt even tried to get him free, but he does not want to even let her see the children, and so the court willl not releease him. She has remarried now and has a lil' boy, who misses his brother and sister.
This is not to gather condolences or any mud-slinging. All I want is to appeal to fellow FHians to carefully choose their life-partners, and to be brave like my aunt and fight it out.
