Karkala, Jain Center

My next destination from Udupi was towards the jain center, Karkala.

They call this as Jain circuit of Karnataka. We have to start from Karkala, then go to the wonderful Moodbidri. Then proceed to Venur. We can Complete the journey in Dharmastala.

I reached the karkala in afternoon. One best thing about karkalla town is the restaurant Sagar near Bus stand. You will never find such well maintained restaurant with tasty food and that too with nominal charges.

First I went to the distant Manasthamba. This is more beautiful Jain stamba(Pillar). You have to go to nearby village Anaikara by bus. From there you can walk or take an auto to the Manastamba spot. Auto charges Rs12/- only



From there you can go to Jain area. The Chatur muka basti. (Four faced). There are two hills adjacent to each other. One hill has the Jain temple and the other has the bahubali statue. I have published detailed photographs.



My last spot was little but still, beautiful Anadapadmanabhaswamy temple in heart of Karkala town.

I finished my journey in karkalla after taking a Mosumbi juice in Sagar restaurant.
