Experiences With Auto Drivers

by ajith » Mon Mar 28, 2011 7:20 pm

well, i think this question has a mixed review's or may be mixed answers because most of the drivers are good, respectful, and charge reasonable charge.... but some are very kunning, money minded...because of these kind of People public loose a good impresion over auto drivers

good experinence:- one when i newly shifted to hyderabad one good autodriver charged me just RS 90 from dilsuknagar to jubilee hills which was a fair inuf cost......... :-D

indian autodrivers especially hyderabad are superb to watch for..lol the kind of language they talk is just awesome...when we hire a auto very sweetly they say 50rs dedo bas..there are few autodrivers who are very calm n friendly wheras the rest of them are very bad tempered and irritating..i would like to cite one incident of my life..once i had to go somewhere and didnt had my vehicle o hired a auto..we had a lumsum talk abt the charge..but when i reached d destination he asked me more than what we dealed..so i refused from giving the extra peny.so he was like dont give even a single money sarcastically..i took it seriously and went off without paying a single buck..now thats very hilarious of me !!

Usually many of the @ut0 drivers are very rash towards the people. Their driving is also horrible. Accidents are mainly caused because of them. while getting inside the @ut0 they will tell us to give as much as we like but while getting down they would demand for more money and in return they would even use some un-parliamentary language towards the customers. This is most commonly seen in the streets of Hyderabed.:(

In hyderabad some auto drivers are very bad because Even before you get into the Auto, you will have a great fight in finalizing the amount. After that I wonder how many auto guys wish you when you get down Till the time you reach your destination you need to hold your breath because when you reach your destination they will demand more money and and if we won't pay it then they start using some bad words...I AM SAYING THIS BECAUSE I HAD MANY EXPERIENCES WITH SOME BAD AUTODRIVERS.....

Auto drivers will charge lot of many and use bad language except for 1 in 1000. The reason why they're like this mostly due to BPL family background, frustration in life, frustration on road, lack of education.

I used to be totally against these guys due to their exorbitant charges until one day I realized that they earn peanuts. Most of these guys run a leased auto or take finance for which they've to pay the EMI, pay the goons, cops, RTO, auto stand (membership fee) & they should earn some profit to run their family. This is apart from standard FC, insurance & road tax for public vehicle. So I neither hate not feel pity for them these days; in a lame man language I say "They are like this only"!!!

Mostly "automatically" brash, rash, extracharging and mannerless kings of the roads -just try having a decent ride, (forget a decent conversation) with them - whether you are inside the auto or outside!!! But, they can get you to any place in the traffic-menacing hyderabad in a jiffy! That says a lot about them - doesn't it? :)

I had Good experience with Auto Drivers in the past, and Worst today!

To start with my past experiences, I used to commute by auto & mmts to office for almost 3 years. During that period I have seen many auto drivers who respects ladies and speak very politely - after all they are also humans.

But today there is a total change in their behavior and service levels. Auto drivers have become very rigid in terms of the short distances and the specific routes that the passenger supposed to travel, similar experience I had in the recent past made me to change my perception towards auto drivers. Many auto drivers have become very rude and even stopped helping / supporting passengers. In many instances they also started demanding extra charges, after dropping us at the destination - by telling some stupid reasons. With the recent agitations occured in the city and petro-hikes, they have taken advantage and started demanding 200% of the actual fare in some places and become villians in the public view.

well, not just the person who sits inside the auto, but also is the one who is behind the auto is uncomfortable.. they just dont follow any traffic rules.. no lane rules. no speed rules.. and they dont even give way to faster vehicles.. they are such a manace,i feel, on road.. The worst thing that can happen to you when u are on road on your bike is being behind a row of autos going at their own will causing traffic jams and accidents.. i feel disgusted with hyderabadi autowallahs..
