God is Three Souls (Persons) in One Spirit

God is Three Souls (Persons) in One Spirit

The Bible describes God as three Persons knitted in one Spirit as one Person. These God Persons have different names, although they are jointly and individually called God. Before 'God the Word' became the 'Son of man,' the names of these three Persons were 'the Most High', 'the Word' and 'the Spirit'. After the death, resurrection and ascension of the 'Son of man' they are called 'God the Father', 'God the Son' and 'God the Holy Spirit'. These three Persons are uniquely knitted as one Person in one Spirit.

For an example, let us consider a human person. We are doing our works with our body. Even though outwardly our body is doing the work, there are three equally important systems in our body jointly participating in the work. God also being three equally important persons uniquely fit in one Spirit body as one person.

1. Brain and Nerves. Brain tells the muscle what to do. Brain gives commands through the nerves. Same way, God the Father tells God the Son what to do.

2. Heart and Blood. Heart pumps to supply the required blood to do the work. Same way, God the Holy Spirit gives the necessary power as God the Son does the work.

3. Muscles and Bones (Body). Body does every work. Same way, the Son, Jesus Christ does the work by the instruction of the Father and by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We see the body does the work. But the nerves, the blood and the muscles joined as one are doing the work. We see one body, but they are three different functional systems, physically united together as one unit. In the same way, God is three Persons (soul) but one Spirit. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are united together as one Person, doing their own individual functions to perform the work as one God.

Paganism

Paganism Pagan Wicca Wiccan - Magic Magical Background

The roots of Paganism burrow deep into ancestral memories of Elder Ages when it was natural to venerate Nature; to celebrate the passage of the seasons; to honor the goddess and god in their many aspects and guises; and to proactively seek personal spiritual growth. Paganism is global in its antiquity and historical significance because of its "expression rather than suppression of the feminine aspect of divinity" in conjunction with the male aspect, hand in hand in empowered partnership, journeying together through life; and, in its respect for the wisdom of women as healers and teachers.

Paganism is a spiritual path that honors: the Old Ways of the Triple Goddess and her consort the Triple God who have many names and visages that vary from culture to culture; the blessings of Gaia, the Earth Mother; the Moon Mysteries; and the transcendent wonder of the human body as a reflective vessel of immanent divinity. ...

Happy New Year!

Marking Ttime - NIRUPAMA HEGDE

Celebrated differently around the globe, January 1 has always been a holiday that is neither political nor religious.

World Time interval is a strange and contradictory matter in the mind. It would be reasonable to suppose that a routine time or an eventless time would seem interminable. It should be so, but it is not. It is the dull eventless times that have no duration whatsoever. A time splashed with interest, wounded with tragedy, crevassed with joys — that's the time that seems long in the memory. And this is right when you think about it. "Eventlessness has no posts to drape duration on. From nothing to nothing is no time at all". East of Eden by John Steinbeck.

New Year's day has no real historic significance, there is no astronomical reason that it falls on January 1, nor does it celebrate any landmark event; it is simply, in the words of Steinbeck, a post upon which we drape duration. The New Year is nothing but a marker of time, a symbolic separation, reminding us that yet another cycle of 365 days has passed. In fact, it is simply a boundary, separating one cycle from another. States have boundaries; nations have borders — the New Year, rather than dividing actual land or spaces, divides time. In the crossing from past to future, the New Year gives us a moment to simply stand upon that boundary, somewhere in the centre of the days gone by and those to come.

Each of us has different measures of time, annual dates like birthdays and anniversaries that have special personal importance, but January 1 becomes a day of global significance. With the passing of yet another calendar year, we look over our shoulders to assess the time gone by. There are innumerable shows on television, articles in the paper, and programmes on the radio recapping the last year. ...

This is considered a time of assessment from many angles. The South Asian community in New Jersey counts down its favourite Bollywood songs of the year, personalising the celebration to its own heritage and culture. In effect, we all condense the moments of breaking news, hit movies, chart topping songs, and anything that caused a media frenzy into a quick review of the year gone by. This is one holiday that is neither religious nor political, though it is celebrated differently around the world. It is one of the holidays that, rather than celebrating the views or beliefs of one community, and pertaining to one religion or one race, actually brings us together, as a united society. A global holiday — a day when the entire world comes alive with festivities.

Each year it rolls around, reminding us to take a look at the legacy of our past, and get ready to shape the future. Happy New Year!

"For Better Life" ... Friendship

by HH » Tue Jan 10, 2006 5:04 pm

Friendship

I have a picture that sits on my desk at work. When the day gets long, or my clients get impatient, I remember to take a moment and look at the photo. It is a picture of my best friends taken years ago. It reminds me of the good times we have shared and the support that their friendship still gives me today.

Even though our lives have gone in different directions, the bond we created has kept us close. Rare is the week that I don’t get a message on my answering machine from one of them “just checking in” or a letter in the mail with the latest baby or vacation photos. Frequently I get e-mail messages with a joke for the day or words of comfort for something going on in my life. My friends have shown up for surprise birthday parties, sent flowers for no reason, and one of them even drove five hours just to watch my daughter’s first piano recital.

Our friendship has carried me through a lot of difficult experiences, and has enriched the good ones. It is the kind of friendship that outlasts disagreements, changes, and separation. Which reminds me, I have a few e-mails to answer.

FLAG OF INDIA ...

by HH » Tue Jan 24, 2006 5:22 pm

FLAG OF INDIA ...

THE NATIONAL FLAG OF INDIA is in tricolour ( TIRANGA) of deep saffron (Kesari) at the top, white in the middle and dark green at the bottom in equal propotions.

The Indian flag is a horizontal tricolour in equal proportion of deep saffron on the top, white in the middle and dark green at the bottom. The ratio of the width to the length of the flag is two is to three. In the centre of the white band, there is a wheel in navy blue to indicate the Dharma Chakra, the wheel of law in the Sarnath Lion Capital. This center symbol or the 'CHAKRA', is a Buddhist symbol dating back to 200th century BC.

Its diameter approximates the width of the white band and it has 24 spokes, which intends to show that there is life in movement and death in stagnation. The saffron stands for courage, sacrifice and the spirit of renunciation; the white, for purity and truth; the green for faith and fertility.

The design of the National Flag of India was adopted by India's constituent assembly on 22nd July, 1947. It's use and display are regulated by a code*****.

The flag symbolizes freedom. The late Prime Minister Pandit Nehru called it a flag not only of freedom for ourselves, but a symbol of freedom for all people.

***** Flag Code of India, 2002 - There shall be no restriction on the display of the National Flag by members of general public, private organizations, educational institutions, etc., except to the extent provided in the Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act, 1950* and ...

Politics ...

Gold and iron are good
To buy iron and gold;
All earth's fleece and food
For their like are sold.
Boded Merlin wise,
Proved Napoleon great, --
Nor kind nor coinage buys
Aught above its rate.
Fear, Craft, and Avarice
Cannot rear a State.
...
By green orchard boughs
Fended from the heat,
Where the statesman ploughs
Furrow for the wheat;
When the Church is social worth,
When the state-house is the hearth,
Then the perfect State is come,
The republican at home.

TEN COMMANDMENTS FOR A LONG AND PEACEFUL LIFE

by HH » Wed Feb 22, 2006 5:34 pm

TEN COMMANDMENTS FOR A LONG AND PEACEFUL LIFE

1. Thou shalt not worry, for worry is the most unproductive of all human activity.

2. Thou shalt not be fearful, for most of the things we fear never come to pass.

3. Thou shalt face each problem as it comes. You can handle only one at a time.

4. Thou shalt not cross bridges before you get to them, for no one yet has succeeded in accomplishing this.

5. Thou shalt not take problems to bed with you, for they make very poor bedfellows.

6. Thou shalt not borrow other people’s problems. They can take better care of them than you can.

7. Thou shalt be a good listener, for only when you listen do you hear ideas different from your own. It’s very hard to learn something new when you’re talking.

8. Thou shalt not try to relive yesterday for good or ill – it is gone. Concentrate on what is happening today.

9. Thou shalt not become bogged down by frustration, for 50% of it is rooted in self-pity and will only interfere with positive actions.

10. Thou shalt count thy blessings, never overlooking the small ones. A lot of small blessings add up to a big one.

His nickname is 'The Wall'. He does take some getting past, doesn't he? He is a great example of how to play. And the tempo of his innings, he doesn't change at all. He loves batting and goes on and on.

He averages 58 and you don't do that if you are not as good as he is. We have to preserve and get past the big bat of his.

He is a perfect role model for youngsters. He has set a great example for all of us to follow. We are all trying to follow that path. He is a solid batsman and one of the top players of the world who I really admire.

Not many people would know what he has undergone to get here, barring the people close to him - his pressures and how much effort it required.

Sadd AmBush Quote ...

by HH » Sat Apr 08, 2006 5:29 pm

Sadd Am ***** Bush Quote ...
...

President Bush, coiner of memorable malapropisms such as "misunderestimate" and "resignate" and "Hispanically", may be forgiven for calling ("mispronunciating?") his nemesis "Suh-dah-um". Bush's pronouncing nuclear as "NOO-kyuh-luhr", and other unique contributions to language have been documented by Jacob Weisberg in the best seller Bushisms and More Bushisms. The 2003 George W Bush Quote Calendar became a national sensation, selling more than 110,000 copies in two months.

And for those who have wondered why President Bush is sometimes dubbed as "Dubya", it is because his middle initial `W' comes out sluggish in the Texan drawl. Texas is where Iraq is referred to as "Eye-raq". The mangling of Saddam Hussein's name is partly due to an inability of certain English speakers to pronounce the `dd' sound common in the Semitic and Indic languages. In Standard English, the doubled consonant retains the single consonant sound even when a doubling of consonants occurs: big-bigger-biggest or rob-robbing-robbed. The other part is an intransigence to adapt to new pronunciations as well as a tendency to look down one's nose at phonetic languages where words are pronounced simply by looking at their spelling.

Britain's PM Tony Blair pronounced the Iraqi president's name as if it were Adam but with an S. ...

Obedience vs. Punctuality

by HH » Sun Apr 30, 2006 12:17 pm

Obedience vs. Punctuality - Saturday July 23 2005

Punctuality is a value; obedience is a behaviour. There are schools that teach a behaviour as a value and others that teach a value as a behaviour. Boys consistently securing first class or A+ from famous schools of discipline entering professional courses, fail consistently from the first year. It means they were coached for the exams, and were not taught the subjects. Suppose a child is to be taught punctuality as a value, a value that will be with him forever, what should one do? A value is one, which the boy values for itself. For that, he must see the value of punctuality, value it for its own sake, be proud to follow it and happy to possess it. Is it possible to teach him this in a lifetime? Children do what the parents do, not what the parents ask. The parent must be punctual in practice.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day

Mother's Day***** 2006 is on May 14, Sunday

>>>>> ***** India: Second Sunday in the month of May.

Mothers Day is celebrated in several country across the globe though the monthWhen is Mother's Day and date on which Mother's Day is celebrated in different countries varies. Most countries celebrate Mothers Day on second Sunday in the Month of May. This Mother's Day date was declared by US President Woodrow Wilson on May 8, 1914 when he signed a Joint Resolution designating the second Sunday in May as Mother's Day. This US tradition of celebrating Mothers Day and paying tribute to mothers spread across several countries over the years and these countries too adopted second Sunday of May as Mother's Day. However, in many countries the way Mothers Day is celebrated varies and is quite different from the manner in which Mothers Day is celebrated in US. But what is more important than the date and fashion of celebration is the feeling behind the festival. The idea of celebrating Mother's Day the world over is to pay tribute to mothers for all their love and support and to make them feel special.
