There you err again, its not an offensive (that India is deploying unilaterally).

And no where does the deployment mention that India is breaching territorial space or any water ways.

Its again to strengthn ties and upon request from friendly nations.

Wouldn't be surprised if the world came back blaming us of starting an Arms race.

IF Bush has resemblance to Ravan, Pharoah (during the times of Moses) or Hitler.

Abu Musab al Zarqawi seems to be a direct desendant of Yazid or Shimr.

100,000 Iraqi war dead: survey
October 29, 2004

A SURVEY of deaths in Iraqi households estimates that as many as 100,000 more people may have died throughout the country in the 18 months since the US-led invasion than would be expected based on the death rate before the war.

What more...

A story.

Ali and Zaida were married in sep 2000. They were were blessed with a baby boy.

The boy was the pet of the family, Zaida used to adore her child, She had dreams to educate him to grow into a fine doctor.

The toddler now 13 months, had just started walking. A august night, the sound of sirens, the family rushes to take cover. Its cluster bombing to flush out terrorists, as the family runs a bomb is dropped nearby.

A a 3 storey building comes collapsing, the debris is flying everywhere, a stone hits the toddler on the head, Zaida cries out to Ali, turns and looks at Alis hand beneath the debris.

Runs a few steps towards that, but realises the toddler is bleeding profusely runs towards the local hospital, before she reaches there the boy breathes his last.

BBC reports, Sgt XXX "Last nights attacks were carried out against militant positions, we successfully destroyed two sites beleived to be militant hideouts, there has been no civilian casualties. 100 deaths were reported of suspected militants. Thank you"

Lancet editor Richard Horton said: "With the admitted benefit of hindsight and from a purely public health perspective, it is clear that whatever planning did take place was grievously in error."

He went on: "Democratic imperialism has led to more deaths not fewer. This political and military failure continues to cause scores of casualties among non-combatants." He urges the coalition forces to rethink their strategy to "prevent further unnecessary human casualties".

"For the sake of a country in crisis and for a people under daily threat of violence, the evidence we publish today must change heads as well as pierce hearts," he said.

Well donno bout you.

But here are some quotes.

Lt Col Gareth Brandl

"We're not going into Falluja to give out fuzzy bears and warm hugs,"

But morale is high. "When we go in, we're going thousands strong and they won't know what hit 'em," said another young marine.

I would say remaining a silent spectator to atrocities is as good as being a part of it.

I applaud the courage of speakers such as Arundhati Roy. If anyone had a chance to glance at her speech.

http://www.hindustantimes.com/news/181_ ... 110004.htm

"We can't just assume that resistance means terrorism because that would be playing right into the hands of the occupation," she said.

The sense that that kind of brutality is good, or at the very least acceptable and in the interest of people here is, I suppose, one of the biggest dilemmas that the world faces today," she said.

To talk on an international platform calls for courage. The least you can do is talk amongst yourself and be aware. Atleast!!!!

Rather then ignoring it by saying what can we do.???

dude, i think u knw the point i was tryin to make there. i said, wht good will it ultimately do to loathe abt it all here. tht doesnt make me apathetic towards the humiliation of the Iraqi ppl. Arundhati Roy making a statement will also fall on deaf ears much like any other person other than a politician or stateman on the world-stage. taking an out-spoken approach is good but doesnt make an iota of difference.

Which in other words is indifference.

If I do not talk, thinking that it doen't matter much I am being indifferent. I know and people to whom it matters know that this one way communication will fall on deaf ears, but what I also know is that by talking about and keeping this alive I am atleast not letting people forget whats happening. Lest this indefference may one day grow to that extent that this indifference is considered natural.

Those who had to die are dead. Let us not forget them. The atrocious then will turn back and herald that those dead were evil and herald their own heros. Let humanity remember that those who are dying are innocent people, and innocent blood is being shed in the name of world peace. So much for peace!!!

bbc wrote:There are no figures on civilian deaths. It was estimated that up to 50,000 out of the usual population of 300,000 had remained in Falluja, but this number is impossible to verify.

So 2,50,000 fled the city or have been ......Liberated in operation liberty ??

Is this not a humanitarian crisis.
Either so many displaced people or so many dead. Either way its a crisis situation.[/quote]

The following excerpts / quotes are on bbc. Related to the tsunami lashing Asia.

Bush wrote:"These past few days have brought loss and grief to the world that is beyond our comprehension,"

True so very true.

The saner all around the world are engulfed in grief. Grief bought about by "shock and awe", of a natural disaster and a sorrowful war.

Yes infact a tragedy beyond our comprehension, but has so far killed fewer people then the recent Wars bought to this world by yourself and Allies.

Bush wrote:"Together the world will cope with their loss. We will prevail over this destruction,"

Yes we will prevail.

Do you have a solution on how do we cope with the immense tragedy and destruction bought about by the war ?
