Pillow Talk!

This is directed at the Sleepers in FH as well as Everywhere. The Focus is on the Prop for the Head While the Rest is at Rest, I mean the Pillow! The following Guidelines may help:

* If You Sleep Flat On Your Back, a 2-in thick fold of Blanket Or a Thin Pillow is Enough Under the Head.

* You May Turn to the Left or Right ... then You May Prop Your Head by folding the Arm Under the Side of the Head ... Next Morning Your Hand May Grow Numb ... Making You Rush to the Heart & Head Specialists.

* You May Have a New Design Pillow, Much Like the Bactrian Camel With "Two Humps" ... In the Flat-on-the-Back Sleep, the Central Hollow Will Support the Head! ... Should You Turn to the Side, the Hump on that Side Will Prop the Head! THE CAUTION IS: Your HEAD, NECK and SPINE All Should Be in One Line or Axis to Ensure Your Allround Comfort!

New Pillow Design! (Copntinued)

This is directed at the Sleepers in FH as well as Everywhere. The Focus is on the Prop for the Head ...

* You May Have a New Design Pillow, Much Like the Bactrian Camel With "Two Humps" ... You May Get this by Stitching the Shorter Sides of Two Conventional Pillows Together ... In the Flat-on-the-Back Sleep, the Central Hollow Will Support the Head! ... Should You Turn to the Side, the Hump on that Side Will Prop the Head! THE CAUTION IS: Your HEAD, NECK and SPINE All Should Be in One Line or Axis Parallel to the Ground to Ensure Your Allround Comfort!

ZC, Thank You, For Your Prompt Response ...

"Foam" Type Pillows / Mattresses, How Comfortable They Will Be in Indian Hot Climate, Apart from their Cost! One should Explore the Use of Cotton Pillows, the Bactrian Camel Twin-Hump Pillow in Cotton May Cost Rs 250 -300. This Pillow Use & Its Benefits Claimed May Be Studied Further.

Prop for Head: PILLOW!

by Happy Hyderabadi » Wed May 26, 2004 10:17 am

The Pillow Props Your Head, While You Relax in Sleep. Hence:

* Cotton Helps ... Cool & Comfortable

* Two-Hump Model Helps in Flat-On-The Back-Mode of Sleep ... It May be 2 in. Thick here, in the Central "Pit", just to keep Your Head & Nack in Line with the Spine ... No Neck Sprain ... No Back Pain

* The Side Humps Could be 8 - 12 in. Thick depending upon how "Broad" one may be ... With the Head Comfortably Resting, in line with the Spine and Neck.

* Yes, You May Call It "PillowZZZZZZ " as It Promotes Such ZZZZZZZZZZ Sound Sleep!

Pillows and Pillows ...

by Happy Hyderabadi » Sun May 30, 2004 2:32 pm

[I have come across Pillows of Different Types, Sizes and Stuffing in My Travels Within the Country as well as in Europe, Africa, UK and the USA:

* What the Indian Railways offer is only an apology for a Pillow ... it cannot be used as a head-rest or even a back-rest ... Happy Tossing and Turning Time Throughout the Journey ... feeling jealous at those blessed Snorers (even while Sitting!) ...

* What the Hotels, Three / Five Star, give are guaranteed to break the Neck ... You'll be seeing your feet or toes, if you lie on your back, rather than the Ceiling Fan Above! If You Turn to the side you are lucky if you feel and find your Neck and Attached Head in Place without Ache / Pain ... the Height / Thickness of more than 8 inches ensures that the falling head is pushed up to "Breaking Point" ... Happy Tossing and Turning Times Thanks to the Pillows ...

* The Stuffing, too, doesn't help ... Too soft does not support as required ... After all Your Hard (Coco)Nut needs Firm Support ... Too hard, ensures break-Neck restless Night!

* Try sleeping through Hot & Humid Nights using Foam Pillows ... Your Neck Sweats and Sweats ... The Fan Or AC helps only One Side ... Wet / Moist Toss & Turn Trials To Sleep Help You Pass the Night(s).

The Only Guarantee of Good Sleep is Given By the Day's Hard Work / Exercise / Active Life ... You don't need the Pillow ... A Flat Cot With a Thin Mattress and Your Hands Help You to Sleep Well ... After all, you need only space to curl up and the hand for the head to rest upon ... Hunger makes all the Food Tasty and Hard Work all Sleep Easy!

 :D
