Prevent Dilution of the RTI ACt

As you know, the Govt. wants to exclude file notings from the RTI act, which could weaken it substantially.



Several news agencies are running signature campaigns against this dilution move. Make sure you go online and sign as many petitions as possible, on this rainy day!



Ndtv.com, timesofindia are two such agencies running online petition. You may also go to the righttoinformation website.

Looks like for now the Govt. has backed off.



BTW if you're interested in using the RTI for improvements in your local administration or other things let me know. We are trying to get some people together and hopefully have a few RTI camps in the more impoverished areas of Hyderabad.
