No yaar, other wise BJP would have fielded maneka or her son from there.

I dont know what will happen if gandhis move out of congress.

Actually when Narasimha Rao was the PM of India, there was no gandhi in the congress, and he actually ended up doing a goos job. :?

thats was PV's mistake. he did such a good job that the Gandhis felt they had to step in and revive the lost Congress culture.

Hi guys,

I am a fresher to the group. Pls dont rag me, but I sincerely feel that...

its unfair to reject ToI just like that. Agreed, it resorts to needless sensationalism (Pakraman/"KARACHI CAPTURED") sometimes! But, there is a certain balance between style and content, that makes ToI work not only with me, but with several other millions.

If you are so frustrated with Hyderabad Times, why dont you try reading the columns of Bachi Karkaria, Jug Suraiya, Gurcharan Das, Swaminathan Aiyar, Chidanand Rajghatta, Dileep Padgoankar. Also, The Special Report

has such creative and analytical appeal. Ofcourse, there are other columns like those by local heros... Jay Prakash Narayan or Chiranjeevi.

Such is the visual intensity of its content that The Dance Of Democracy column has made politics so interesting for an otherwise apolitical guy like me.

Also, I am so used to getting up in the morning with a smile, Courtesy: RK Laxman's YOU SAID IT, and ofcourse the indiatimes.com poll, that I am ready to forget a million flaws of ToI.

You ve to believe that I am NOT working with ToI. But, you have to believe that ToI has become THE Masthead for millions of Indians! And, definitely those many Indians are not fools.

these appear only on sundays. ever read the additional on sunday? its 60%ads and the remaining consists of the same old stufff.....lives of celbritees. compared to that The Hindus additional is much much more informative.

I also remember when Indai came back from australia after they lost badly in the one day series final and the indian womens hockey team beat koreans (i guess) in hyd. the net edition carried a head line. try playing hickey for a change mr. ganuly. as many as 40-50 comments were posted on the articles, all of them lambasted the author, including myself, but it didnt make any difference.

its clear all they want is attaracting the readers and making them read the articles. what they think of it is of no use to them.

DC, April 12th .. has a sensational article on Lakshmi Mittal, the Steel magnate, buyin the house in London in the most expensive deal made i.e. for 70 million pounds..

n this was converted by our DC mates to be 5000+ crore Rupees

goin by the current conversion rate, i dun think it goes beyond 500 crore rupees..

I think DC or rediff had a wonderful report on Hyderabad air show last year. The dude was covering the flying displays and wrote something like " the Mig-29 aerobatics were awesome, they did great manoeveurs and to attract the crowds the pilot released fircrackers  from the plane"

bugger doesnt even know that those are flares and not diwali firecrackers. I dunno how they qualify to be journalists.

Today read one in TOI by some kamat, he wants Shoiab akthar to bowl for India  says he will be neighbours envy and Indias pride, as if we dont have talented bowlers here. He feels that India will beat australia if 'b'akthar bowls for India
