The spate of construction activities around the Hasmathpet lake is slowly killing the lake. A lot of construction waste, combined with household waste not to speak of the open drainage that flows into the lake are all polluting the lake and killing off the lake itself.
The authorities seem deaf to the popular voice expressed in the media and elsewhere. how can any city authority reamin mute witness to the killing off of a natural water body.
It beats me how we could solve this and ensure that precious water bodies are saved from their imminent death?
