Off topic: enigma, some people never grow up! Just ignore them. They are trying to get some attention by doing eccentric and stupid things, a symptom of Tourette's Syndrome. I hope they have doctors in the family because their parents won't be able to afford a regular psychiatrist for the level of stupidity they have.

As for "trying to get some attention", I'll tell you what I'd do to get attention. I would have a post oozing senti and talking of what the community has been through in the last few months. I would name some of the big posters knowing that they would reply with a small "thanx" or a little " I agree". THAT would reaally boost my popularity. I would then try and make a platform for people to wish each other on special occasions because that makes me look like a relly sensitive person and build my credibility here.

Finally I would call us all a large happy family hoping to get some "awws" and "oohs" from all the members.

Well that post just made me realise something,, it takes a special kind of person to understand a special kind of person.
So do not take offence enigma, just like you wouldnt if a baby pisses on you when you are holding it. I again remember a famous quote here,
"forgive them father, for they know not that they have sinned." ( sorry if there are any mistakes here, dont remember the quote verbatim)
I feel I am wasting my time trying to make someone understand but we have to do what we have to do when we live in a society.

There are 2 more hours for the weekend to begin. I was hoping Az would take me to Mark's place but that dude is in love, he aint got the time. Now I have to wait for PSD to come back home or wait for CrackedNut to call me later.



I'm not sure if they know Mark's house. I hope they do. All i've done the last one month is dream about coming back to Hyd and participating in the Film Night idea that was floating around when I left.

I think its a sad truth we have to face and live with in the present times, in life and on the boards.
The "superficiality" of our words and deeds is so embedded in our subconscious that we dont we know it is there in the first place.
The present age is one which gives more importance to appearances and superficial aspects when at the same time saying that its more learned and mature. Its that kind of hypocrisy we should strive to rise over. The boards are but a feeble attempt at this endevour. And like in life, even here we face people who are happy and content in their own world and refuse to listen to anything else. That is not their fault entirely, it is just the kind of attitude and thinking that is more prevalent today than the society that thinks and reacts to the surroundings.
So I think the members who post sensible stuff should not lose confidence and keep on doing their work not getting bothered by the spam posted on their threads or other threads.

I remember a saying in telugu,
"Thampi meeda raayi westay manamedey chindu tundi".

So just keep your cool and carry on.

There's another trick that I wanted to use to satisfy my fragile ego. It involves quoting stuff from movies, books and journals because it makes me look well read and as if I have a superb memory thus proving that my intellectual capabilities are amazing.
