Why there is no FM Radiao

Hello yaaron, yes Hyd badly requires an FM channel - it's almost shameful not having one - when the likes of Ahmedabad, Indore (!) have. I have a great idea .....

Just a week back the Tenders for All the circles ereopened and you can get atleast 4 FM in Hyd..and thhey are1. Ad Labs(Reliance), Times FM,Radi Mirchi..and...forget it..just wait for another 4 months..

right now u can hear 24 hour Rainbow FM at 101.x



daytime (6 am) is predominantly local programming (with an hour or two of delhi transmission around noon). 9pm to 6am is delhi transmission. as far as i have heard it, its good...

6 FM channels have been approved by GOI. Soon, we are gonna have 6 FM stations in Hyd.

Telugu on 102.8 is ok as most presenters there are seasoned, but why 101.9 too?? - I switch channels whenever the local programs start...with all respect to the local RJ talent - Hyd 101.9 chaps make me yearn for their Delhi counterparts



I like some RJs on 102.8 ….. Bangla (talented, perfect lingo & delightful) & Sowmya (sweet & natural) on Wave-9 and Anupa (sexy lisp & confident) and Vijay (smart alec with a church accent) on g.evening hyderabad... as the new channels plug in i'm sure we can get our own star RJs..

i am speaking in particular abt the RJs in the "Western" music hour from 7 to 8pm...the girls blabber meaninglessly just for sake of saying something. they mispronounce names of artistes (ever heard of Brain Adams?) and their knowledge of the music they play is next to nothing (Bangles, Enigma and Pet Shop Boys are gr8 "rock" groups).



sometimes the songs they play are real good (once i listened to an hour of classic rock with Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Eric Clapton etc) but usually they play a lot of girlie stuff and boy bands.



among the other local programs, the phone-in in telugu are usually entertaining and fun, esp listening to the callers talk.

I personally feel it sucks especially when they try to speak hindi. Why cant they get some decent hindi speaking RJ??

Wave 9 is a sponsored program on 102.8 FM (programming by the Japa-4 guys - remember them??) - Starts at 10am and goes on till 12pm?? (I guess..)



The RJs I mentioned before in this topic Bangla (..Bharathi), Sowmya etc are from this program...



Yes, majority of them either are not fluent in Hindi - worse still, the male RJs try and pass off the crap as hyderabadi hindi...



But I still maintain that Bangla is one good RJ in the whole gang. The only thing that may come in her way is that she's pretty mature/ clear and it shows in her RJing.. after all a little confused & a bit confusing chatter makes RJing a li'l more fun....



I also mentioned one 'ANUPA' from g.evening hyderabad among my favs - now....



- it is APOORVA & NOT Anupa...

- and yeah, I am rethinking on my first impression - yesterday I heard her use the sign-off line "and yes, keep those energy levels kicking people" for the fifth week in a row...

I thought the 2 Hr segment was Good Evening Hyderabad or something @ 102.8 & Wave 9 runs at 101.9 from 10 AM to 12 PM.

Wave 9 is on 102.8 in the mornings and Good evening Hyderabad is in the evening, between 5.55 and 7. or so. I think it is produced by DC Interactive
