Anyone there to help me in stopping bribery?

Hi! I am doing my MCA and I wish I could stop all the corruption in the world. But I cannot do it, so I plan I\'ll start it with HYD and I am going to implement some of my steps here. Raj, we did wash some dirty-linen on this topic in a related board \"Corruption in Secretariat\". The fact is, there is no panacea for corruption. Speaking out, bringing awareness, is the only remedy for this dreaded disease too! And are you sure, you want people to mail you about these issues? I am afraid, you need to have more 1 Gb storage space, if evey single affected individual sends a mail!

I can only advice you not to get corrupted! Try, at least!

Power corrupts. I have friends who have worked in the govt. who are good, but became corrupt. In the Bombay Municipal elections each candidate spends over a crore of rupees! They will have to recover this when they are in power. We are all responsible in one way or the other. If a policeman stops us for jumping the signal, most of us will settle this by bribing instead of paying the fine. So my friend, let us follow the rules and if we are caught on a wrong foot, pay the penalty in a proper way and obtain a receipt. This attitude will surely help eradicate bribes.

It sometimes amazes me how naive people can be. This is not the first time I heard of the \"dictator\" solution. Somehow, we all assume that our democracy is responsible for corruption and that all dictators have in their heart is the good of people. What if we get a Hitler as a dictator and sez lets kill all people of so and so religion or caste or linguistic group? All you have to do is look at what dictators around the world (Zia-ul-haq, Md. Ershad, Saddam Hussein, Idi Amin, Kim Jong Il, musharraf etc. etc.) have done for the betterment of their people. It is sad that we people, living under a democracy, however messy, still functional, yearn for dictators.

So mister u need to be honest and thats what we can do now. Don't even imagine of what shown in movies. Those are movies and you cant compare them with real life. Let us hope that corruption dies out slowly

It is imperative that the Civil Service remains relevant to the society it serves. It needs to fundamentally transform its structure(s), culture and practice(s) if it is to address the legitimate and changing expectations of the public, be effective in supporting the renewal of public services and provide the stewardship required to maintain a vibrant healthy democracy.

4thePeople is a new campaign group that has been established to engage those outside the mainstream Civil Service in this process of continuous adaptation.

4thePeople will brigade representatives of business, academia, think tanks, the voluntary sector and citizens in active engagement with the media, the public and the mainstream Civil Service to make the case for change, cultivate the conditions within which it can take place, generate new ideas and solutions in support of these goals and provide support throughout the process of implementation.

4thePeople^^^^^ has been developed after extensive consultation with former top Civil Servants and public servants and senior representatives of organisations that work closely with Government.

We all believe passionately that our national well-being and prosperity are best served by creating modern responsive public services and by promoting the active engagement of citizens at all levels in public life. Only a reconstructed Civil Service, brilliantly led, with a clear sense of purpose and sensitivity to the world around it can make this happen.

Over the course of the next three months we will be building the organisation, running symposia with partners to finesse our campaign goals, establishing relationships with media, Civil Servants and other potential partners, developing our membership proposition, ‘nailing down’ our initial priorities and making a compelling case to for initiating the process reform as a Day One imperative for the new Government.
