Coool....all praise to mumbaikars for their spirit. And all kudos to Indian patience for showing the other cheek. Now the ball is back in terrorists' court. I assume they will up the ante again. I expet the next blasts to sustain over multiple days, as single day blasts seem to bring the indians back on the streets next day. This will create a true war zone where indian families will have no respite in the nights and no safety in the days. Lets see how india responds then. On the other hand, whats there to see, we all know its cheeks are resilient enough to take some more whackings without a whimper.

BTW our dear friend pakistan had to say this over the gory incident -yeah i know they made other comments too, now dont make me explain which one shows their true colors:

Kasuri says blasts show need for talks

WASHINGTON, July 11: The Bombay bombings on Tuesday showed that Pakistan and India need to resolve disputes that can be exploited by extremists, Pakistan’s foreign minister said on Tuesday.

Foreign Minister Khursheed Mehmood Kasuri, echoing statements from Islamabad, condemned what he called the “absolutely horrendous” attacks on crowded commuter trains and stations in India’s financial hub.

“I think the Mumbai incident — however tragic it may be and it is undoubtedly very tragic — underlines the need for the two countries to work together to control this environment, but they can only do so if they resolve their disputes,” he told Reuters in an interview during a visit to Washington.

“I think we should try and take advantage of this improved atmosphere and resolve outstanding disputes, particularly the core issue of Jammu and Kashmir,” Kasuri said, referring to the two countries’ gradual reconciliation process.

Kasuri said that the Mumbai blasts and other recent bombings in India and Pakistan show that “anything can go wrong anywhere in India and Pakistan” and escalate into trouble.

“If you have these disputes, it enables negative forces in both countries to blame the other country and exploit the sentiment,” he said.—Reuters

Ofcourse our ever patient mother india had this to do after the same gory event:

India to provide $25m for quake victims

By Our Correspondent

NEW DELHI, July 11: India and Pakistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Tuesday, setting out the modalities for release of US $25 million pledged by India as humanitarian assistance for the victims of the October earthquake in Kashmir.

The Indian foreign ministry said the funds would enable the Government of Pakistan to procure reconstruction material from India as per requirement. The MoU was signed for India by Foreign Secretary with Pakistan’s High Commissioner Aziz Ahmad Khan.

“The Government of India hopes that this will assist the families who have been devastated by the earthquake on Oct 8, 2005, in rebuilding their lives,” the Indian statement said.

India had sent relief material worth $5 million for those affected by the earthquake in Pakistan. Separately, relief supplies valued at more than $10.5 million were also donated from other government, semi-government and private sources. This includes relief material handed over across the Line of Control.

India had pledged the $25 million aid at the international donors’ conference organised by the UN Coordinator for Emergency Relief in Geneva in October last year.

It generally takes time to get such info, right?

One of my cousins works at Railways. He had mentioned that the dept does not ever give exact figures for the simple reason that they will need to pay the familes and also to survivors'. So the official figures are never accurate.

I only hope though that we have sufficent amounts of rage left in us to protect ourselves and our country from such periodic blasts and carnage.

Imagine one of our own family members in that blast. Will we ever say- 'so, what's next?' I guess I would be extremely enraged when the rest of my country says so.. Somebody did not slap me across my face, man! somebody killed my people most brutally.

I feel so enraged when this has happend to my motherland and it feels so much more painful that our young men and women do not show sufficient rage within them to say who in the hell dared do this to my country! We will kill the bastards. Can you imagine a Muslim belonging to a Muslim country saying so what's next? Remember danish cartoon protests? Rage was the word. For what? cartoons on their religious leader.. We ought to learn rage from them for sure.

Please, let us not allow ourselves become such pacifists. At the least, emote. Allow your blood to boil. Diverting that rage twds the terrorists and concern twds our people who are suffering so is protecting ourselves and our motherland. We are what our country is and our country is what we make ourselves to be.

Amidst the gloom, heroic citizens rescue effort

Rescue workers survey the twisted remains of a train compartment in Mumbai. Photo: AP

Mumbai: Faiyaz Gavte was crossing the foot over-bridge near Bandra suburban railway station to his home in Naupada on Tuesday evening when he chanced to look down at the tracks below. “I saw a train approach — it was a Borivli-bound train on the fast track and even as I looked, there was a tremendous explosion and black smoke came out,” says Faiyaz.

“The train was moving and people were falling out and it stopped a little after the bridge. The blast blew pieces of the train some 80 to 100 metres away and ripped apart the compartment. People hearing the noise, came streaming out of the houses on both sides of the track. I ran down the bridge to help the injured,” says the 30-year-old businessman who lives in Naupada, which is a housing colony parallel to the suburban railway tracks.

Along with Faiyaz, hundreds of young men from Naupada plunged into rescue operations, initially marked by the complete absence of the police or railway officials. Even stretchers were not available to take the injured or the dead. “We pulled out the padded seats in the first class compartment and used them to carry away people to the nearest platform,” says Akhtar Sonalkar.

All these young men belonging to a voluntary organisation called Al-Hind Ekta Society, rushed to rescue the numerous injured from the first class compartment. The police came much later and they were not willing to touch the bodies. “It was people like us who provided all the immediate rescue assistance,” said Sonalkar. People were in shock and could not hear. Many of the bodies were mutilated, some beyond recognition and there was so much panic, he adds. The injured and the dead were bundled in bed sheets and on makeshift stretchers. The railway station had only one or two stretchers.

“Many people lost their hands and fractured their shoulders — specially the ones who were strap hanging. Some were stuck inside the train and we had to pull them out and people were piled on each other,” adds Sonalkar. There was a lot of public anger and disbelief that the police did not act immediately. At least 50 injured and over 20 dead were taken to nearby Bhabha municipal and other hospitals. The society members collected all mobiles and wallets and gave these to the nearest police post so that they could be returned.

In nearby Garib Nagar, just a step outside Bandra station, when people heard the sound of an explosion, they thought it was a cylinder blast. But Salim Qureishi, a local Congress party worker said, “the ground shook and we saw black smoke. I rushed to the spot and had my video camera with me. I saw bodies were piled up on each other and many of the injured were in a critical condition. Some of the bodies were headless and some were in pieces.”

Salim’s footage has been aired on private TV channels and it clearly shows how the local people helped in the rescue and that they were the only ones present. “We took people in rickshaws to Bhabha hospital and it was our help that ensured that more people did not die,” he said. Aslam, a rickshaw driver said he was outside the station when he heard the blast and did not realise it was five minutes away. “We ferried people home till late at night,” he adds. Most residents were horrified at the turn of events and demanded that the culprits should be brought to book soon. “So many innocent lives were lost in the train,” said Salim.

The local anganwadi worker, Prema Yadav who was witness to the whole incident, said that it was a frightening sight to see so many dead bodies in a mangled condition. “If we did not help, they would have stayed on the tracks for a long time,” she pointed out.

Strange response

Residents who called the police to tell them about the blasts met with a strange response. The police simply said it was a rumour. Worse still when they did arrive on the scene, they prevented people from touching the bodies or rescuing the injured. On the other hand, most commuters in the train did not run away but stayed to help and bring down the injured and the dead.

Ironically, the settlements near Bandra station like Garib Nagar, Naupada and nearby Behrampada, are Muslim-dominated and are often targeted as hotspots of terror. In the 1992-93 Mumbai riots, they were also the targets of much police attention.Like Salim and the others, youngsters like Sanjay, a businessman and Vineet, a physical trainer, too did their bit on Tuesday evening. “The police were not ready to touch the bodies and we also helped to bring the dead and injured to Bhabha hospital,” said an angry Sanjay. Both rushed there as soon as they heard of the blasts on television. In fact late in the night, the Bhabha municipal general hospital was surrounded by people like Sanjay who had chipped in to help the victims.

In the rest of the city too as weary commuters made their way home, people came out to organise food and water and in some cases even transport was organised for those going long distances.

My respects to all the people who helped the victims during that tough time.

I find blaming intelligence failure and police for not being there right after the incident is uncalled for. In a teeming city like Bombay it takes a significant time for the police/paramedics to mobilise their way to the spot of incidence. Our infrastructure is not like that of USA/UK. Flashing emergency lights do not automatically get right of way to or at the spot of incidence, unlike in USA/UK. Far from it, building a police station is looked by a certain minority as a threat and they kill the policemen.

It is prudent in many ways for the police to not allow general public onto the site of crime: there could be explosives yet to ignite, public could damage evidence/clues, public handling of injured could turn out to be more harm than help, etc.

Anyway, I think the cops did a good job given the circumstances.

As you suggested, the absense of rage is very disgraceful. Especially from those who were full fledged venting their anger for Iraqi casualities. It just shows how subjective their idea of justice is. All the more reason to doubt their and their so called brothers' motives. Ofcourse now these same brothers will come out and proclaim that radicals of certain majority are the benficiaries of this hence they are also the perpetrators.

The question now is, as was after every prior blast, how does mother india react to this. I have no high hopes from a nation which doesnt have the guts to call a spade a spade even after being hit umpteen times. Isn't it apalling that we have scores dead and thousands injured and all the govt mutters is "we knew an attack was imminent", "pakistan should bring down terror infrastracture to continue peace talks", "india will never kneel down", "no reason justifies such killings of innocents", etc? Damnit we a re nation of a billion people, we are being hit left right center by pakistan and bangladesh and here we are displaying pointless verbal bravado and threats of breaking peace negotiations, do these idiots ever get it that they are not seeking peace, it is us who are victims and yet negotiating for peae? We need a break, even a dove defends itself better.

Newspapers have a field day criticizing police after every incident, yet they are also eager to pronounce any preemptive action by police as biased. I lost respect for the mainstream media long time back. Half the time the reports are nothing but personal opinions of the reporter turned communally affable by the biased editor.

What we need is truth and solution, however bitter it may be, not some dumb ill-educated pseudo-secular opinion from morons who have no clue what secularism means, and what it takes to defend it.

I am sure we will do nothing again, more horrendous blasts will happen again and I will vent out again. Such a pity. We will be personally affected sooner or later, and then too all we we will do is cry and curse, as the current relatives of victims might be doing. May the dead live in peace and the living see the folly.

Oh, yeah, I do see our Indian citizens in rage at the right times, personally and elsewhere on other DB's, Akshay. I did not see it here on these DB's though and it was so shocking ! the reactions here were more like, 'did you finish killing? Good. Now that you are done for now, we can go our ways ?!

our govt. and world media calls it resilient, which otherwise are also called 'the other cheek', ' no spine', ' pacifism', looking the other way', 'it did not happen to me and my family, so why shud i care'... I am not sure what, Akshay. Do you have an idea?

I have a question. Would the congress govt have reacted the same ways if sonia gandhi were to have been killed in these blasts? priyanka/rahul gandhi? PM? (He's too much of a puppet of sonia gandhi for me to have any more respec, inspite of his education.) one of the CM's?

Arch, our pacifism has reached a point where we imagine we performed our duties by condoling the deaths of innocents. Our society has already made suffering a noble deed in itslef and is starting to actually revere it. We encourage our ineptness further by deluding ourselves that we are the better humans coz we dont react in kind. It is a perilous road we are walking.

I dread the day when, as I said before, the terrorists ante by causing cross day bombings.

However our pacifist reaction may be termed, the only thing it is going to give us is more loss of lives. I dont care much about politicians' reaction. What I dont get is absence of rage from common people. Where is the innate natural self defense mechanism in the human beings we call our citizens? I mean we should have seen some street reaction after such an attack. But alas it has become business as usual. The resilience of common folk is great but where is the reaction from them?

The only protest I read about came from an anti terrorism organisation wing in amritsar.

Thing is, we are not Indians or citizens. We are Hindus and Muslims, and whoever perpetrates these crimes against Indians, even if it is external elements, is either Hindu or muslim. Now do you punish your own?

Why do we speak now ?

by Transient » Sun Jul 16, 2006 10:38 pm

Its hardly about spirit. Its not about heroism and not in the least about religion. Its high time we get practical. Now thats its acknowledged that terrorists can do harm - in a big way, its about time , we did something about that. Trying to get to the root of the issue is not something we are really good at, why otherwise, would an almost 60 year old dispute not get resolved ??

We have a huge workforce in the software industry, Software equals artificial intelligence. How about channeling all this intelligence towards protection and vigilance. The USA, is undoubtedly, not a very respected country. How is it then, that an incident like September 11 has not really caused 10 more ? Terrorists are at the end of the day, nothing more than misguided humans. Vigilance and caution would go a great way in making them stay away. It could be a first step. And then you go ahead, get smarter and talk . Talk to Pakistan .There's no other way out. Talk intelligently. Derailing a peace process or any process for that matter would mean preventing any kind of progress.

Its high time we got responsible. Not aggressive and emotional. Again I repeat, its about time we got practical.

We've reached a stage where nothing seems to affect us for long.

200 people killed? That figure is a mere statistic to us. Another one will come along in another tragic event, some time from now. Does it affect us? No sir, we are used to this. We are a population of 1 billion after all.

When I first heard about the blasts and after watching the horrendous visuals, I was filled with an overwhelming sense of rage. This was followed by an intense feeling of helplessness. How many more have to die to get us galvanised into action?

We are sitting in another city and feeling the pain of the victims' families'. Imagine what if we were directly affected?

And what happens in the aftermath? Statements are made 'condemning all acts of terrorism' by heads of state/every low-lying politician. A committee to investigate the blasts will be set up that may come up with a report in half a decade from now. The guilty may or may not be punished.

There's a strong sense of deja vu to it all.

We are such a pathetic lot. It's during times like these that being called 'Indian' makes you cringe.
Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you are right.

Either Ways

by man4u » Mon Jul 17, 2006 10:51 am

Either way's we will be the one's who will be hit.

It's of some people who in the name of Islam do it. I think they have reasons like

1)Our Presence in Kashmir

2)Our proximity to Western countries in terms of relationships through foriegn policies.

They want that part of Kashmir which is being controlled by Indian forces (we still almost 40% of Kashmir controlled by Pakistani forces and is not shown to us in maps of India for primary and High School Students). Which we say is pending a Plebicite which was promised to UN by our PM in 1948. And for various reasons that is pending.

Western countries if you see are normally christian populated. And these religions are at loggerheads. Various things keep them in conflict.

Both these 2 religions which originated in Middle East are monotheistic.

Indian majoity are polytheistic. Thats the problem which will continue to trouble us for centuries.

We have seen that British wanted to load us with christian laws during mid 19th century and the LOCALS (both and Muslims) fought 1st war of Indian Independence. They were convinced that that's not the way and retreated.

But their idea of religious expansion has'nt been curtailed.

Now it's turn of Islam fighting against non beleivers ( Polytheists - I think come under that category).

Some RSS/VHP leaders call to POPE of a joint fight against these Jihadis should be viewed under this Logic.

Either of them win at first (Jihadi's or Christians) The POLYTHEIST children of Mother earth WILL have be at the receiving end.

Root cause, and our helplessness

by FT » Mon Jul 17, 2006 9:59 pm

Two of Israel's are kidnapped, and eight die in the hands of Hezbollah. Lebanon is bombarded for immediate tactical reasons and longterm strategic reasons. While all Nasrallah can do is shout like a Cute (with cap H), 'he will humiliate Israel', while because of his folly Lebanon is being systematically reduced and brought to it's knees for it's inability to control Hezbollah. Israel is playing it's cards dangerously but I have a feeling they are a model to pursue.

India, compared to Israel is way larger, supposedly a relative super power. But do our leaders have the heart of a Super power? No, they act like chickens ruling the roost but on run and cackling nonsense every time we are under attack.

Didn't that Arjun Singh, just before the blasts suggest reservations for Muslims? (Don't get my secular credentials wrong here. My beef is with the populistic policies that hurt us in the long run and also my urge is take on things with our long term existence into consideration).

As some one else pointed in the posts before. Monotheistic & semitic religions fail to grasp the beauty of a secular existance of far eastern 'dharmic' religions. Semitic religions were conceived in the ancient times, by individuals and never allowed to evolve based on rationalist principles. Except for Judaism, Semitic spirituality was driven by the all encompassing belief in the infallibility of the founders.

While Christianity is LARGELY influenced TODAY by a largely secular schools of thought, Islam is still controlled by traditionalist schools of thought that took ascendancy in 8th and 9th century. If that wasn't enough, pseudo-islamists like Wahhabis have hijacked the religion and are using the charisma of Prophet's name to tarnish his word.

What has it all got to with the bombings.

Everything. In the face of a corrupted agenda of Wahhabist terrorists, only option we have is to take a more pronounced stand to identify, hunt and eradicate the same. The same implying fundamentalists.

If India as a state is willing to forget the pillage of Ghouris, Ghaznis, 1920 Mopallah 'rebellion', previous and current bombings, and instead pursue misguided reconciliatory policies, then there will occur again and again situations like Gujarat, when a whole normal society turns a genocidal society.

Kashmir is Indian. So is Pakistan. So is Bangladesh. Our motherland has been dismembered in the name of religion. Not any more. No more giving. Ignore Pakistan. Their long term survival is untenable. So is that of Bangladesh. Their very virulant brand of Islam and it's effect on their societies is evident. (for instance the break up of Pakistan, and then the continued sectarian killing in that country - is that what Prophet in Medina would have been proud of? bah.)

Prophet primarily wanted to establish a society where the weak are protected, wanted to create an egalitarian society. His tools to control the excesses were but tools, not the ends in themselves. Seems like Wahhabis and the terrorists today have forgotten the ends that Prophet intended to achieve and have taken to tools as means in themselves. They will certainly go to hell and not the heaven as Prophet envisaged.

Woo on them. Actually, I have a feeling that the junk of the muslim society has decided to hijack the religion and claim their agenda as the message of God, the new Quran!? Blasphemous fools. God will take care of them in the world beyond.

But in this world, our state better take care of them.

Or the fed up masses will be forced to commit sin under duress. All those sins will then have to be accounted by our so called leaders.

some info coming out after investigation
Train bombers 'funded by British businessmen'
From Daniel McGrory in Bombay
Indian officials claim that bogus charities are sending £8m to Kashmiri terror groups
SOME of the main fundraisers for the terror group suspected of masterminding the Bombay train bombings are operating from Britain, according to Indian intelligence officials.

The officials accuse Britain of failing to act against a number of wealthy businessmen, who they claim are using bogus charities to funnel up to £8 million a year to Kashmiri militants groups, such as Lashkar-e-Taiba, which remains the main suspect for orchestrating the synchronised bombings that killed 182 people.

Manmohan Singh, the Indian Prime Minister, raised the terror link with Tony Blair at the G8 summit in St Petersburg yesterday, reminding him that India handed over a detailed dossier three years ago identifying 14 men living in Britain and was assured the suspects would be investigated.

“Since then nothing has been done, and the money still coming from Britain helps to pay for the terrorist camps where we believe the bombers were trained and this atrocity was planned,” a senior Indian security official said last night.

Gordon Brown pledged that the Treasury would use new laws to shut down terrorist fundraising and ordered that the bank accounts of 54 organisations be frozen, although records show that last year Whitehall only recovered £9,318.

“Britain talks about the need for all nations to get tough together, but more money comes from the UK to Kashmiri terror groups than any other country,” the official added.

One of those identified in the dossier is reported to be a Pakistan-born multimillionaire businessman who owns at least two luxury homes in London.

Professor Paul Wilkinson, of the Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence at the University of St Andrews, said: “It is very sad the figure for the money still flowing to the likes of Lashkar has not been substantially reduced by now. It is difficult to track the money trail, but we should put more resources to doing so.”

The funding from overseas has helped terror groups to set up a string of new training camps in Bangladesh, close to the border with India.

Al-Qaeda-trained militants are reportedly running up to 13 camps, and MI6 and other Western intelligence agencies have been monitoring the traffic of young recruits to these centres including a number of volunteers based in Britain.

British security agencies had been warning that groups closely linked to al-Qaeda were planning to stage bomb attacks in India, using local sym- pathisers to carry out their operation.

Scores of Indian-based militants are alleged to have attended the al-Qaeda run camps near Bandarban and Chittagong. Security chiefs believe that the mastermind behind the bombing on seven commuter trains used one of these camps in Bangladesh to finalise plans for the attack.

Anti-terrorist officers involved in the hunt for the Bombay bombers travelled to the border town of Tripura yesterday to question 11 men from the port city who were said to have been caught trying to cross back into Bangladesh. The men are believed to be militant members of the outlawed (Student Islamic Movement of India), which police allege helped in the bomb plot.

Teams of armed officers continued with their mass round-ups yesterday, with further raids on a number of shanty towns around Bombay. So far they have detained more than 1,300 men, but the police face mounting public criticism at their failure to arrest anyone involved in the terror network that is believed to have been living in India’s financial capital for at least three months.

D. K. Shankaran, the chief secretary of Maharashtra state, of which Bombay is the capital, said last night: “We believe police will be able to zero in on the culprits within a week.”

As he left for St Petersburg Mr Singh, said: “We will impress upon the leaders gathered at the G8 summit that the international community must adopt an approach of zero tolerance toward terrorism anywhere.”

He also made a thinly veiled attack on Pakistan, which he has blamed for sheltering terrorists, adding: “The international community must isolate and condemn terrorists wherever they attack, whatever their cause and whichever country or group provides them sustenance and support.”

Talks planned for Thursday between the countries’ foreign ministers were postponed yesterday, with India’s Foreign Minister giving warning: “As a result of these terrorist attacks, it is becoming very difficult to take forward the peace process.”

Millions are expected to take part in a two-minute silence to be staged in Bombay tomorrow at the time of the first explosion. Bollywood stars who live in the city will join politicians, police and survivors of the attack in a public show of defiance against the terrorists.

Also Tuesday, police said five men were arrested in northeastern India and they will be questioned to see if they are connected to the blasts.

The total number of deaths rose Tuesday from 182 after officials counted victims who died after being taken to hospitals in Thane, a town just outside Bombay, said B.M. Raut, a disaster management official in the state government of Maharashtra, where Bombay is the capital.

While police are still trying to determine who was behind the attack, an organization calling itself Lashkar-e-Qahhar said in an e-mail to a local TV station that 16 people took part in the bombings in Bombay, also known as Mumbai, and that one was killed.

But "all the remaining 15 ... are totally safe, and celebrating the success of this mission and also preparing for the next mission," said the e-mail, written in poorly punctuated and often ungrammatical English.

It advised Muslims not to go near main historical and government sites, or risk getting hurt.

In the e-mail, a copy of which was provided by Aaj Tak television, Lashkar said it would provide audio and video proof of its involvement.

Lashkar-e-Qahhar, or the Army of Terror, first took responsibility for the Bombay bombings in an e-mail Saturday to the station. Investigators say they are trying to verify the claim.

The group was unknown until it claimed responsibility for the March 7 bombings in the Hindu holy city of Varanasi that killed at least 20 people. Investigators believe it may be a front for Lashkar-e-Tayyaba, an Islamic militant group based in Pakistan that has long fought Indian rule in Kashmir, a predominantly Muslim Himalayan region.

Kashmir is divided between nuclear-armed neighbors Pakistan and largely Hindu India, and lies at the heart of their rivalry. India accuses Muslim-majority Pakistan of materially aiding separatist rebel groups in the region, a charge Islamabad denies.

India's suspicions of a Pakistan link to the Bombay bombings have prompted New Delhi to slow a two-year peace process with its archrival.

"For the time being, the dialogue process has suffered," Prime Minister Manmohan Singh told reporters on the flight home from St. Petersburg, Russia, where he was an observer at the summit of the G-8 group of industrialized nations.

"I wouldn't say 'setback,'" he said, but later added, "It is inevitable in the backdrop of this ghastly tragedy that we reflect on our relations with Pakistan," Press Trust of India reported.

Investigators were also hunting for leads on the other side of India.

In the northeastern state of Assam, police arrested five men Tuesday who will be questioned about possible links to the Bombay attacks, an official said.

The men, all Muslims, were detained Monday in Gauhati, the state capital, and arrested Tuesday, said state police chief Deepak Dutt.

Dutt did not say if there was any evidence linking them to the bombings, but said they were found with more than $4,300 in cash, and one had visited a well-known Hindu shrine under a fictitious Hindu name.

Hundreds of people, many of them Muslims, have been rounded up in police sweeps in Bombay since the blasts and briefly held for questioning.

Sena could be behind the balsts--CPM

And yes every angle should be probed, becuase we want to get to the bottom of the truth a nd the only ones beneftting from these actions is the Hindu funadamentalist groups like Shiv Sena etc.

The CPI-M on Thursday said the Shiv Sena could not be dissociated from Mumbai blasts as it could have used the incident to iron out "factionalism" within its ranks, inviting a sharp reaction from the BJP.

"May be the Shiv Sena is divided. Who can say that it is not using the blasts to wriggle out of trouble?" West Bengal CPM Secretary Biman Bose told a convention against terrorism, organised by the All-India Milli Council, in Kolkata.

To reinforce his arguments that the Shiv Sena was facing internal problem, he said he saw cutouts in support of Raj and Uddhav Thackeray while travelling in Maharashtra.

"I am not in favour of dissociating the Shiv Sena from Mumbai blasts," Bose said.

Reacting to his remarks, West Bengal BJP General Secretary Rahul Sinha said, "We are not only surprised at the manner in which Bose has identified the culprits, we also call upon the Centre to make him the chief of intelligence."

He accused Bose of trying to outdo Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav in "appeasing Muslims".

"At a time when investigating agencies have gathered proof that Islamist organisations are trying to destabilise the country, whose support is Biman Bose looking for by accusing the BJP-Shiv Sena in connection with the Mumbai blasts," asked Sinha.

ok forget about hindu and muslims behind the blasts.

lets talk only about indians.

is it right for any indians to give shelter and food to these criminals.

why sivsena,why not congress,communists etc,etc.

so let truth prevails.

and once it is proved lets not spare those anti nationals whoever they may be,they must be given to public for justice not to court of law.

Thats right every one shouold be probed, and for your Info the Shiv sena goons have already issued a warning to lawyers that they cant take up any cases to fight for the accused(allegedly).

Imagine some police officer accusing you because he cant find a clue and you cant defend yourself in the court of law because of the threat to the lawyers from Sena goons...I mean the law should decide ho is guilty not oppurtunistic , vile and vitriol of the Hindu fundamentalist parties like Shiv Sena
