Hello Friends
In one of my previous posts, I have made a comment saying that racial hatred is a living problem in the Muslim community. But that many Muslims are not able to come to terms with it and confront it directly.
Curiously, the thread related to my post has been deleted by the mods.
It had been impossible for me to have a discussion there because many of the readers felt insecure and violated by my comments (for no real reason) I have made no defamatory comment against Islam or any one particular member. So now I wonder why the thread was deleted ? I felt hopeless to have a discussion there but I wanted to save the discussion for book-keeping purposes. Because I made significant investment of my time in that thread
Anyway, I have more information to share with you. This is concerning the persecution of the Bahai faith in Iran.
Iran - the country of great minds. It is a meeting point of the East and the West. Great philosophers and saints have lived in that country since the inception of time.
Baháullah is one of the saints. He was a very devout Muslim in his childhood. Then, he accepted the teachings of Báb (a religious reformer who was murdered by the clergy). In later life, he created a new religion called the Bahái faith.
It is basically same as Islam. It says (1) God is One (2) Mohammed is his prophet.
In addition it says a few more things (3) There is only one human race (4) There is only one religion - all religions are the same (5) There should be a one world government - which is based on a decentralized structure
Not surprisingly, Bahais are persecuted. The Islamic establishment sees them as a threat. Please read this website to get an idea of how the

The Bahái people are very progressive mentality : they believe in the personal space of religion, the importance of international peace, and they even praise inter-racial marriages.
Bahái faith is the answer to the western people who think that the Islamic world is anti-progressive. The most progressive religion of the world has actually emerged from Iran.
Now it is sad to see these people getting persecuted. Especially because there are 2.2 million Bahái people in India (the largest community in the world).
In Iran, they are the largest religious minority. But the state doesn't even recognize this religion. It recognizes and offers some protection to Jews and Christians. But Baháis can be persecuted at will. They also don't have an opportunity for higher education !!
The Muslims of India, who are the most educated and liberal, should stand in support of the Bahái people.
