Why only windows driver programming training, you think its something completely different,not related to any programming languages, I dont care what you think but you seem to be some one staight out of college with no idea about anything , just heard it from someone and want to pursue "windows driver progamming" , if you really want to be in driver programming go for an institute that teaches c/c++ good, after you learn that it doesnt matter if you write linux kerne or do windows programming, make sure that it interests you above all.

Hello Why,

Thanks for your great response. So you've two misconceptions here, one is I'm a fresh college student..... no, I'm Not. I'm already in this industry since quite a long time.

Two.... I should go and learn C/C++ and Windows device driver programming is fascianting........ no, I've done n number of projects in C/C++ and training for windows device drivers is not because I'm fascinated to learn or I'm lazy to learn on my own, but because the project demands it. By the can you please explain me, in what way C/C++ compliments for windows drivers..... this seems to be a new concept for me, and I wanted to get educated by a great intellect like you :roll:

Thanks for taking pain to respond to my query...... and that query is not posted for people like you, who don't know the application of windows drivers....... keep it cool man 8)

Moon_me,

Looks like you are on the moon man , its quiite pathetic to know that you inspite of having completed "n" number of (obviously high profile and earth shattering) projects are not able to relate the knowlege of C/C++ with windows device driver programming, what are you upto trying to use Java as a language to accomplish your task, if your job requires you to write a device driver and all you could do is post on fullhyd.com of all the places , you employer better up his insurance or something for having employees like you. :? :?

Hi,

Basically in windows, Drivers will be written only in C but not in C++ or some other language(in WDM architecture). But now latest driver development (WDF architecture)is coming with C++ with COM appraoch. And you require special type of compilers to compile the source code. ordinary C or C++ compilers will not work. These compilers comes with Driver Development Kits.

@Andhrawala,

Thanks for your suggestions. Yeah we have everything ready. We've planned to use WDF model and installed WDK. It's only that a class room training would give us a more fast push than self training, we are looking for trainers. Unfortunately I got some harsh replies for my posts and we've planned to visit Colarado for a 1 week intense training. Anyways thanks again.

@Mohit,

To learn programming in C/C++ it's not money that is required, but logical way of thinking. If you go to Ameerpet then you'll find hundreds of shops who will provide C/C++ training. But be sure of your requirements as what is forcing you to learn C/C++. All the best.
