Come out of the closet if you DARE!

by Alexis » Sat Jun 12, 2004 3:42 am

Ive noticed that Indian cinema and society is now recognizing homosexuality. So that brings to wonder, how many on this forum are actually proud gays and lesbians? And how daring are you to come out of the closet?

ZC, seriously, what does my question have anything to do with me not revealing my age! I know what youre driving at, but age and sexuality are totally different things.

I have no bones about my age. I already told someone on the board everything about me......uh, make that 2 people.

Its just that I dont want to share all my details with every face-less member here. Its kinda freaky.

But if I were a lesbian, then I'd have told everyone here. Cuz I wouldnt think its something to feel ashamed about. Same thing if I were an alcoholic or a drugged-out fool.

Be bold in what you stand for. Thats what I do, and thats what I wish everyone would do too.

i think Sting n Raj have come outta the closet, rite...?? ;)

jokes apart, i think in india the people are not mature enuf to accept open homosexuality. nobody wud come out so easily....in hydbad i've seen some open gays in pubs on some rare occasions, thats it....apart from the mysterious groping hands in busses when i was in school/college......that time i realised how girls feel when they are groped in busses etc....*yechchchchc.... :x *

adding to Adonis's stmt, yes, straight men do find Lesbians sexy...

and ZC, what a person feels comfortable revealing, is his/her choice.

Ok, here is a situation...

If a gay has a sex change operation... turns into a pRoperrr girl with ***** and **** and all that ... and then marries a man, is that a gay relationship or normal relationship?

Being gay is as cool or as uncool as being straight. It is just a sexual orientation. What's attitude got to do with it? But, what I do find repulsive is people flaunting their sexuality - and that works both ways. Fine, you are gay or you are straight. You do not have to flaunt it.

And, what really pisses me off are gay parades where they dress up in all kinds of obnoxious costumes. They look plain vulgar there. I have nothing against gays, I think I have made that clear. But, why should they engage in something so obscene? There is no harm in participating in gay parades. Just do it the civilised way.

There are norms that a society sets for itself in every generation. Do not grudge the society - the only ones who do that are those who can never get into it. In a way, I think it is this over-the-top behaviour of gays that has come in the way of their acceptace by the majority of the people. No one likes to be associated with a freakazoid. I am not saying homosexuality is freaky - just gay behaviour in public life sometimes is.

PS: When I say gays, I include lesbians also. I use it as a generic term.
Nothing travels faster than light with the possible exception of bad news, which obeys its own special laws.

So if u have visible features associated with males/females then its legal to marry a man or woman, else its gay/lesb? What exactly is the difference between a man prior to sex change operation and one after sex change, other than breasts?
