Like or Love?

by IMFB » Tue Jul 13, 2004 10:42 pm

1) In front of person u LOVE ur heart beats faster. In front of person u LIKE u get happy.

2) In front of person u LOVE winter seems like spring. In front of person u LIKE winter is just like beautiful winter.

3) If u look into the eyes of ur LOVE u blush. If u look into eyes of one u LIKE u smile.

4) In front of the person u LOVE u can't say everything on ur mind. But in front of person u LIKE u can say everything.

5) In front of person u LOVE u tend to get shy. But in front of person u LIKE u can show ur own self.

6) The person u LOVE comes into ur mind every 2 minutes.U can't look straight into the eyes of one u LOVE. But u can always smile into the eyes of one u LIKE.

7) When the one u LOVE is crying u cry with them. But when the one u LIKE is crying u end up comforting.

8) The feeling of LOVE starts from the eye. The feeling of LIKE starts from the ear.

9) So if u stop LIKING a person u used to LIKE all u need to do is cover ur ears. But if u try to close ur eyes LOVE turnes into a drop of tear & remains in ur heart forever after.

So there is a big difference between loving & liking.

So make sure whether U R LOVING OR LIKING.

IMFB...you should've told me if you were feeling hungry. There was no need to gobble all those articles from that.

Yeah, loving and liking makes the world a better, more beautiful place to live in. Which is why I call myself a lover and not a fighter. Too much goes into hating and grudging.........so live simply and happily without any enmity.

First I couldnt make out S**T from all the points. Secondly, Cant I like someone and love them at the same time. Also, Can I like some one and pretend that I love them for some "material"(read physical) gains.

I always thought I liked many people but I loved ONE or maybe it was TWO... wait it might be THREE... List goes one.. ZALIM HASEENA's! :(

HP... Alexis was refering to personal relationships not the world in general. But you are right, WHY CANT THE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD LIKE EVERYONE! WHY CANT WE ALL LIVE IN PEACE.

well we can love many at once cant we....but make sure you like them or love all of them. If you feel you like them and love them...well its a matter of having your cake and eating it too...eventually too many cakes will be a big tummy ache!! make sure you have a diet planned out!! we cant all live in peace otherwise what kind of world would that be...havent you seen the Matrix? they tried it before and it didnt work...anyway...my 2 cents in there

Badmash, you gotta like someone before you can actually love that person. Thats how it goes, first its 'like', then comes 'love'.

asli_badmash wrote:Also, Can I like some one and pretend that I love them for some "material"(read physical) gains.

Youre just leading the way to 'Heart-break Hotel' for the friend who youre tricking. She's helping you 'materially' because she loves you, and thats just not right cuz you dont feel the same.

Like I haven’t been used... :x "Save it for a mammal that cares" (Ice Age reference). Women are no angles! And I aint no DEVIL.

In relationships people USE and get USED. Period!

Love is just a feeling which you feel. Even if the other person says he/she loves you, the way they feel the love is totally different from you and the intensities might differ. So if the other person doesn’t love you as much as you love them, then they are using you. How is that different from what I said... :?

thats neither LIKE nor LOVE...its LUST....a wonderful feeling thats acceptable as long as both the parties are game for it. dont use LUST to cheat the other person. thats bad...

LUST adds spice to life n is not a sin, provided u know how to handle it properly. i wish there comes a day when i cud go to a woman and say the four little words:

I Lust For You...

...and not get slapped ;)

Some women would take it as a complement. They really have to be a sport to take it like it that. Hyderabadi women are emotional people. You would get kicked in the NUTS if you say that to a HYD girl. When will they GROW UP!

It doesnt neccessarily mean you have to do it right then and there.. I think it just means "You are HOT" and in New York they take it as a complement! I say so by experience.

I sure hope so.. because I see this DELICIOUS girl all the time and I mean to stop and tell her how HOT she is. I would ofcourse be wearing my "NUT Gaurd". Cant take chances with the only pair of NUTS I have.

About people in HOLLYWOOD; I beg to differ. You could walk upto a stranger and say it, without expecting to be whacked in the wrong place.

No disrespect shown. Its their profession, by choice or circumstances, and 'I lust for you' is what they want to hear.

How did you sum up such a complicated emotion in such a simple sentence? :P

Akash, you say Love & Like are two different (even opposite!) things.... and yet in most cases Like is followed by Love. Isnt that an anomaly? I guess they're two sides of the same coin then..

I don't really think they wait for someone to say that. All they would, in most probability, wait for is the day to end with enough money so that their pimp doesn't end up hitting them. And IMO, the joke was in a really bad taste.

Some do, some dont. Their aim is to earn money and those are the words that bring them money. So, its not wrong to assume that they want to hear those words. Whether they like it or not is a different issue altogether.
auto...aate kya (Just read payne's blog)? who knows whether the auto driver is enjoying driving or not and why he is driving an auto in the first place, "auto aate kya" is what he wants to hear.

And IMO, the joke was in a really bad taste.

Why? If anything, my post was a snide remark on the profession and not on the people practicing it. I pity them.

Anyway there are many who do it for easy money - top celebrities to common college going students - dig last months ToI archives for reports.

It sure is Bimbette... Ghalib tried to explain it. Frued tried to define it. They did a good job, but you know.. how everyone feels this one emotion is so different.
The Rainmaker wrote:Akash, you say Love & Like are two different (even opposite!) things.... and yet in most cases Like is followed by Love. Isnt that an anomaly? I guess they're two sides of the same coin then..
Let me give you one funda in life... If I may.. LOVE and LIKE are words created to control who you want to be with. When you say you like someone they are all potentials. When you say you love someone; you want to be with them while not loosing all the LIKES. And if for some reason the LOVED falls out of favour.. he/she is relegated down to LIKES. and some one from the LIKES is moved up to LOVED. Get it..

So you see.. LIKES are all potentials and LOVED is the the current love. Simple... as it is.
